Dr Tan has been practicing as a senior General and Colorectal specialist Surgeon since 2017. She completed her training as a specialist surgeon in Sydney/Wollongong and now practices in Canberra, Cooma and the Far South Coast.  Dr Tan is a highly experienced colorectal surgeon with a special interest in Colon and rectal surgery – open and laparoscopic; colonoscopy and endoscopy; as well as general surgery including laparoscopic hernia repair and gallbladder surgeries.

She is a strong advocate for bowel cancer screening via faecal occult blood testing.  She believes comprehensive health care can also be delivered to the Far South Coast despite the unique challenges faced by geographical isolation.

She prides herself on providing personalised patient care to each individual and is committed to ensuring all patients are treated with respect.  Her aim is to facilitate timely access to surgery and therefore optimising health outcomes for all her patients.  She operates in Calvary Bruce Private Hospital, Queanbeyan Hospital, Cooma Hospital and South East Regional Hospital.
